Buy a Vespa!

Vespa Ad

Anyone who’s spent any time in Rome knows that its unique traffic pattern is made all the more complicated by Vespas and by motorini that zip in and out of traffic, that squeeze between moving cars, that hug the edges of buses, and that roar across sidewalks.  While there’s no doubt that the buzzing Vespas add a bit of danger and excitement to the life in the Eternal City, it’s also the case that those on Vespas always arrive first at any destination.  The iconic motorbike (and its imitators) is quite simply the most efficient way to get around.

In their newest ads, Vespa reminds potential purchasers of this fact.  The ad on the left shows the distance between two policemen, and then, in the lower right hand corner suggests that a Vespa could slip simply between the law enforcement officials.

The same message is conveyed in the ad on the right, which measures the distance between two moving trams and suggests that a Vespa could whiz right between them.
